The recent surge in coronavirus cases in China has brought back memories from 2020 when the virus first appeared. In its announcement, the EODY points out that in our country, the situation is under surveillance and the Organization together with the competent services in our country are following with interest and caution the individual recommendations of EU member states.

Recently, an outbreak of coronavirus cases has been observed in the region of China, which has alerted public health organizations to possible developments in the pandemic worldwide. This surge was seen due to the easing of measures of the zero-covid strategy in China and caused concern due to the simultaneous lifting of travel restrictions that come into effect in China from the beginning of next year. It should be emphasized that in Europe, the European Commission is closely monitoring the developments regarding COVID-19 in China and the possible implications for the EU, due to the movement of travelers from China to the EU Member States, when the new travel arrangements in early January.
