1) Campaign for the widespread use of available vaccines for both seasonal influenza and booster doses of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. Influenza vaccine is used in children younger than 18 years and older than 6 months with underlying disease, including obesity, in those who are immunocompromised, and for the prophylaxis of vulnerable people in the home, including infants younger than 6 months.

2) Widespread out-of-hospital use by primary care physicians of antiviral drugs:

a. TAMIFLU (oseltamivir) to treat flu-like symptoms especially in people over 60 years of age. In children under the age of 18, it is used only in a severe clinical picture with complications.

b. PAXLOVID (nirmatelvir/ritoravir) for prescription in laboratory-documented cases of COVID-19, over 60 years of age or in persons under 60 years of age with risk factors for progression to severe disease (see E.L. post on the website of EODY). Not for use in children under 18 years of age.

3) The use of a protective mask:

a. In the areas of health services.

b. Indoors with gatherings of many people.

c. By all immunocompromised individuals as directed by their personal physician.
