Brazil recorded 79 deaths and 20,548 cases of Covid-19 this Friday (13). As a result, since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has lost 695,334 lives and 36,623,217 cases of the disease.
The moving average of deaths is now 73 per day, down 52% from two weeks ago. The average number of cases is 19,457, down 29% compared to the same period.
SĂ£o Paulo has not recorded deaths for six days. The Health Department alleges problems in the Ministry of Health system.
There were also no deaths in Acre, AmapĂ¡, Amazonas, ParaĂba, RondĂ´nia, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and not even in the Federal District.
The data for the country, collected until 8 pm, are the result of a collaboration between Sheet, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate numbers related to the coronavirus pandemic. The information is collected daily by the consortium of press vehicles with the state Health Secretariats.
In all, 182,661,635 people received at least the first dose of a Covid vaccine in Brazil. Added to the single doses of Janssen’s vaccine, there are 172,783,487 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.
Thus, the country already has 85.03% of the population with the first dose and 80.43% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.
So far, 108,233,929 people have already taken the third dose, and 39,765,500, the fourth.
With regard to children, 15,087,430 first doses (57.10%) were applied in the age group from 3 to 11 years and 10,487,698 second doses (39.69%).
The initiative by the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the actions of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed bulletins about the disease and removed information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of total cases and deaths.
