The Ministry of Health said this Thursday night (23) that the ConnectSUS system returned to work. The tool issues proof of vaccination against Covid-19.
However, according to a note from the folder released on a social network, the site may present instability in the first hours.
ConnectSUS was down since the 10th of this month, when a hacker attack hit other ministry systems, including the official website.
“The Ministry of Health informs that the ConnectSUS application has been re-established. The folder highlights that the issuance of the national certificate of vaccination Covid-19 may present instability in the first hours, due to the volume of accesses”, said the folder, on Twitter.
The Federal Police is investigating the case, but a preliminary analysis found that no data from the federal government was hijacked.
The main hypothesis of the authorities is that the criminal action was motivated by political activism on the internet, the so-called hacktivism. They assess whether information has been lost.
The ministry suffered another attack on the 13th. [ataque], it was something minor. We are working to recover this as soon as possible,” said minister Marcelo Queiroga at the time.
There were 13 days without access to ConnectSUS. Because of the first attack, the government even postponed the first ordinance on the entry of travelers into the country, which would take effect on December 11th.
With Conecta SUS off the air, many Brazilians would not be able to download proof of vaccination from the application.
