Brazil recorded 92 deaths and 12,452 cases of Covid-19 this Wednesday (25). As a result, since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has lost 696,645 lives and 36,780,868 cases of the disease.

The moving average of deaths is now 140 per day, up 55% compared to the data two weeks ago. The average number of cases is 11,969, down 43% compared to the same period.

The data for the country, collected until 8 pm, are the result of a collaboration between Sheet, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and disseminate numbers related to the coronavirus pandemic. The information is collected daily by the consortium of press vehicles with the state Health Secretariats.

In all, 182,694,182 people received at least the first dose of a Covid vaccine in Brazil. Added to the single doses of Janssen’s vaccine, there are 173,048,896 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 85.04% of the population with the first dose and 80.55% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of Janssen’s vaccine.

So far, 108,265,742 people have already taken the third dose, and 40,133,260, the fourth.

With regard to children, 15,889,697 first doses (60.13%) were applied in the age group from 3 to 11 years and 11,120,675 second doses (42.09%).

The initiative by the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the actions of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed bulletins about the disease and removed information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of total cases and deaths.
