A list of 10 questions and answers about Covid-19 disease was published by EODY in order to give the citizens instructions regarding the diagnoses, the tests, the quarantine, but also the vaccination certificates.
1. I was positive with (rapid antigen or pcr molecular test) what should I do?
- I stay in isolation for at least 5 days and avoid contact with other people. . The day of receiving the positive test is considered as day 0 and the five (5) days of isolation follow
- I leave the isolation if after the end of 5 days I have no symptoms or the symptoms after five days improve with complete remission of the fever for a 24 hour, without the use of antipyretics, discontinuation of isolation. If the fever persists, prolong the isolation in the home until the fever has completely subsided.
- I use a mask of high respiratory protection (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or use a double mask for at least another five (5) days after the end of isolation
2. I have come in contact with a confirmed case what should I do?
A) I have been vaccinated with booster dose or vaccinated with 2 doses in the last 6 months or with one dose of J&J vaccine in the last 2 months:
- Requires the use of a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or a double mask for 10 days and
- I perform (PCR or Rapid AntigenTest) 5 days after exposure
B) I am unvaccinated or vaccinated with 2 doses over 6 months without booster dose or with one dose of J&J vaccine over 2 months without booster dose:
- I stay in isolation for 5 days and avoid contact with other people
- I perform (PCR or Rapid AntigenTest) 5 days after exposure
- After the 5th day I use a mask of high respiratory protection (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or use a double mask for at least another five (5) days.
3. I am healthy and I have tested positive / I am in close contact with a case
A. Nursing Staff (health / paramedical / administrative staff in health service structures of each level)
A’1. Medical staff with Sars-Cov-2 infection:
Isolation of five (5) days and return to work with or without negative testing if asymptomatic or with mild symptoms. Mandatory use of high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2).
A’2. Medical personnel exposed to a confirmed case of Sars-Cov-2:
For medical staff vaccinated and with a booster dose: They continue their work normally with a mandatory laboratory test on the 3rd day after the exposure.
For medical staff vaccinated with 2 doses or 1 dose for the J&J vaccine: They continue their normal work with a mandatory laboratory test on the 1st, 3rd and 5th -7th day of the exposure.
In any case, the Infection Committees of each hospital can take any additional measure to prevent the spread of infection and reduce the disease.
B. General population
B1. People with confirmed Sars-Cov-2 infection – Isolation:
Stay in isolation for at least five (5) days and avoid contact with other people. The day of receiving the positive test is considered as day 0 and the five (5) days of isolation follow.
After five (5) days of isolation and if there are no symptoms or the symptoms after five days improve with complete remission of the fever for 24 hours without the use of antipyretics, discontinue isolation. If the fever persists, prolong the isolation in the home until the fever has completely subsided.
Mandatory use of high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or double mask for at least another five (5) days from the end of isolation.
B 2. People who came in contact with a confirmed case – Quarantine:
B2a. For people who have been vaccinated and boosted or people who have been vaccinated with 2 doses in the last 6 months or with one dose of the J&J vaccine in the last 2 months:
Use a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or a double mask for ten (10) days and perform a laboratory test (PCR or Rapid Antigen Test) on the 5th day of exposure.
B2b. For people vaccinated with 2 doses over 6 months without booster dose or with one dose of J&J vaccine over 2 months without booster dose or unvaccinated:
- Stay at home for five (5) days and avoid contact with other people.
- On the 5th day, perform a laboratory test (PCR or Rapid Antigen Test).
- After the 5th day, use a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or double mask for at least another five (5) days
For population groups whose work is inextricably linked to the functioning of the state and vital infrastructure, the members of the Commission will consider any differentiated instructions on the recommendation of the competent Ministries.
In case of symptoms or a positive laboratory test, the persons of category B2 (Quarantine) are transferred to category B1 (Isolation) and apply the corresponding instructions.
Regarding the use of a mask, the members of the Committee for the Management of Public Health Emergencies by Infectious Diseases draw attention to its best possible application.
The above guidelines may be updated depending on the epidemiological data due to the speed of transmission of the virus.
4. I have Sars-Cov-2 disease, what certificate do I have to provide in my work?
- The confirmation of a positive result is the proof of illness,
- If sick leave is required you can contact your family / treating physician or the occupational physician of the Company where you work

5. I am in close contact with a case and I am in mandatory quarantine, what certificate do I have to present at my job?
- EODY does not issue quarantine certificates for close contacts.
- The quarantine certificate of close contacts is issued exclusively by the GGP
6. I have a self-test positive. What should I do?
The self-test is an indicative procedure and the result (if positive) is not declared in the national Covid-19 register. Confirmation of the result by PCR or Rapid Antigen Test is recommended.
7. I have difficulty scheduling my vaccine appointment / with vaccine availability / my details are not recognized on the vaccine platform
- EODY does not manage the vaccine platform
- For support and updating information please contact KEP.
- To make an appointment for a vaccination in a Public Structure or for a vaccination at home, contact a KEP / pharmacy / General Practitioner.

8. Exemption from compulsory vaccination for health reasons for citizens over 60.

9. I have been vaccinated at home and I want a booster dose / I want to ask for a vaccination at home.
You should contact your doctor as well as the Health District (RH) you belong to.
10. I have a problem with the issuance of a disease certificate / vaccination / positive-negative result / European Digital Certificate.
