The city hall of São Caetano do Sul (ABC) started inviting parents of children between five and 11 years old to pre-register on the VacinaJá website before the system was released by the São Paulo government.
A post on the organ’s profile on Instagram, this Monday (10), says that it is mandatory to present the child’s CPF both in the registration and in the vaccination.
The measure was taken before the government of São Paulo announced the rules for vaccinating this target audience. Some netizens commented on the post and questioned the requirements.
In a statement, the municipality stated that pre-registration on the VacinaJá website is open to people of all ages and that the form requires the CPF.
According to the State Department of Health, the leaf, the pre-registration of children from five to 11 years old will still be released. The system, which is in the final phase of adaptation, will apply to all 645 municipalities in São Paulo.
In addition, the procedure will not be mandatory. “Those who do not pre-register need not worry, because the vaccination will also be done even without it, with the complete registration being carried out in person at the vaccination unit”, says the folder.
“The first stages of state planning were the making of vaccination cards and the development of the logistics plan for the distribution of immunizers”, completes the text.
In the same publication, the city hall of São Caetano do Sul explains that it will disclose the vaccination strategy as soon as it receives the doses.
Regarding the mandatory CPF for children, the municipality advised the population to issue it at the Post Office or at Caixa Econômica and Banco do Brasil branches.
On December 16, 2021, Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) authorized the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech immunizer in the population aged five to 11 years.
According to the Ministry of Health, the first batch with 1.2 million pediatric doses of the Pfizer vaccine is expected to arrive in Brazil this Thursday (13), at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (93 km from SP). The distribution will follow the population criterion.
In the state of São Paulo, which has 20.73% of the population between 5 and 11 years old, vaccination is scheduled to start on Monday (17).
The advance of the ômicron variant in the country reinforces the need to vaccinate children as soon as possible.
