The capital of São Paulo will start, on Monday (17), at 8 am, the vaccination against Covid-19 of children between 5 and 11 years old. The Municipal Health Department will distribute 64,090 doses of Pfizer children until this Saturday (15).
In the first phase of the campaign, priority will be given to those with comorbidities, disabilities and indigenous people living in villages.
Parents should look for the UBS (Basic Health Units), from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm, on Saturdays, from 8 am to 5 pm, and at the AMAs (Ambulatory Medical Assistance)/Integrated UBS, from 7 am to 7 pm.
On Sundays, vaccination will take place from 8 am to 4 pm at partner pharmacies on Avenida Paulista, at numbers 2371 and 266. Each weekend the schedule may be changed.
According to the state government, pre-registration will not be mandatory, but those who choose to do so just access the VacinaJá website, click on the “Children up to 11 years” button and fill out the online form.
Children must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years of age and present identification document (preferably CPF), proof of address in the name of parents or guardians (except for the village population) and vaccination card. In the absence of the CPF, the RG or birth certificate will be accepted.
In addition, proof of risk condition for comorbid patients will be required – physical or digital exams, prescriptions, report or prescription, containing the doctor’s CRM and up to two years old.
The disability can be proven with a medical report, free public transport card, documents proving attendance at rehabilitation centers or specialized units, or an official identity document indicating the disability.
The state of São Paulo started vaccinating children at Hospital das Clínicas, in the central region of the capital. The first recipient was Davi Seremramiwe Xavante, 8 years old. He goes to the HC periodically for medical treatment.
