In the new wave of vaccination against Covid-19, aimed at children aged 5 to 11, even Galinha Pintadinha took the opportunity to immunize itself. After the first dose, she becomes Galinha Vacinadinha.

Starting this Tuesday (18), the child character will star in a campaign by the Government of São Paulo to encourage children to protect themselves against the coronavirus.

The immunization of this public in the state began on Friday (14), and the first to be vaccinated was Davi Seremramiwe Xavante, 8.

In addition to Galinha Vacinadinha, the video has characters representing scientists and doctors. “The piece highlights that science, through several studies, worked to combat the pandemic and ensured vaccination for the entire population”, says the government, in a note.

“The musical parody is an incentive for parents and guardians to follow the immunization schedule and take their children to the nearest posts to their residence for immunization.”

The 30-second video will be broadcast on television channels, portals and social networks until January 31.

It is not the first time that the local government has adapted its immunization campaign according to the target audience. Harry Potter, Willy Wonka and characters from “Elite” and “High School Musical” have already appeared in advertisements aimed at generations Y (born between 1980 and 1994) and Z (coming into the world between 1995 and 2010).

The strategy of using pop culture was adopted in August by numerous municipalities in several Brazilian states, such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Pará, Alagoas and Mato Grosso do Sul.
