All sequenced strains belonged to the Omicron sub-variants BA.2 and BA.5, with BA.2 predominating from week 9 and after week 23 the most frequent BA.2 sub-variant was XBB.1.5 ( 87%), followed by CH.1.1 (7%)

Influenza virus: All tested samples were negative for influenza, there was no new severe case of laboratory-confirmed influenza with ICU hospitalization in week 27/2023, and no new death from laboratory-confirmed influenza.
