Until December 22, 2023 the deadline for submitting applications for the Dentist pass program is extended in order to benefit even more children.

Over 200,000 children aged 6-12 years have been supported to date by the Ministry of Health’s preventive dental care program “Dentist pass”, which is implemented with resources from the Recovery Fund.

Beneficiaries, regardless of financial criteria, can submit an application on the program’s electronic platform (https://vouchers.gov.gr/dentistpass) or through KEP, in order to receive the financial aid amounting to 40 euros, per beneficiary child.

The financial aid in question is credited to the beneficiary parent or guardian in the form of an immaterial debit card and can be used for 6 calendar months after the month of its issue, in dental/orthodontic practices located in Greece and equipped with a POS with a relevant code. It should be noted that the aid is received, on behalf of the child, by an adult natural person who exercises parental care or guardianship or guardianship or provides him with insurance coverage, acting as the child’s representative for the purposes of this Program.

The program highlights the importance of preventive dentistry, as well as proper information for parents and children and includes oral hygiene control, cleaning and plaque removal, fluoridation and providing relevant instructions.

The Dentist Pass is part of the action “Implementation of the National Public Health Prevention Program “Spyros Doxiadis”” of the Ministry of Health and is implemented by the Information Society MAE, in the context of the “National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0” with the funding of the European Union- NextGenerationEU.
