There is an evident human fatigue in relation to the coronavirus pandemic. We’ve been fighting the virus and its allies on Earth for two years now, and frankly, it often feels like giving up. Every time I receive in a WhatsApp group those videos and messages suggesting that vaccines have failed, that lockdown does not work, or that the definitive study has now come out proving that ivermectin will save the world, I feel discouraged. It seems we haven’t learned anything in those two years.
It seems that the nearly 650,000 people who died of Covid-19 have been forgotten.
Our biggest clashes, which should be against the virus, end up being against humans themselves, who insist on conspiracy theories motivated by ideological convictions. The virus would be strong on its own, imagine then with the reinforcement of an entire herd of humans, who decided to play alongside the virus, as if this were a game in which we needed to choose a team.
The problem is that the virus doesn’t get tired or rest. As long as “the soil remains fertile”, the virus will follow its trajectory, which is to multiply and survive.
Sometimes I wonder if SARS-CoV-2 had a thought, what would go through your head:
– How wonderful. Every day the number of tired humans, or simply denialists, who don’t wear masks increases.
– Great news. That horrible study suggesting that lockdowns don’t work is making the rounds among humans.
– Bingo. False information about vaccines is circulating freely. I will continue to have fertile ground to continue infecting people.
– Wow. After spending a few weeks talking about testing, the humans forgot about this subject again, and I will continue to infect them without them knowing the real dimension of the tragedy.
Seeing Brazil once again exceed 1,000 daily deaths from Covid-19 gives endless sadness. It didn’t have to be that way, even more so at a time when there are effective vaccines against the disease.
While in the general population, 4 out of 5 people are vaccinated, among those admitted to Hospital EmÃlio Ribas it is exactly the opposite: 4 out of 5 inpatients are not vaccinated up to date.
Covid-19 begins to become a pandemic of the unvaccinated.
Covid-19 begins to become an exclusively ideological pandemic. People are losing their lives for a stupid cause, which is fighting vaccines.
The Covid-19 pandemic is taking longer to end due to the unvaccinated.
Fighting the virus and its allies is an inglorious task.
