Prevent Senior owners allege flu-like symptoms and do not attend the Chamber’s CPI

by

The owners of the Prevent Senior hospital network, the brothers Eduardo and Fernando Parrillo, alleged flu-like symptoms and did not attend the hearing scheduled for this Thursday morning (3) at the CPI of the City Council.

According to the network’s lawyer, Aristides Zacarelli Neto, the brothers fell ill this Wednesday (2), the eve of the hearing, after traveling together.

The businessmen were absent from the last call to testify at the CPI, last week. The health operator stated that “the defense requested the waiver of testimonies because doctors have already testified on the same topics in investigations by the Public Ministry and Civil Police”, but are available to testify to the CPI.

In last week’s session, councilor Paulo Frange (PTB), the CPI’s rapporteur, said that half of the 14 Prevent Senior hospitals in São Paulo are irregular and are operating under a court injunction.

In a note, the operator stated that it is working to resolve all pending issues identified by the municipal authorities.

The councilors hear this Thursday doctors Sergio Wilhelm Lotze, expansion director of Prevent Senior, and Álvaro Razuk, executive director of the Institute of Education and Research of Prevent Senior.
