This is a 52-year-old woman, mother of a small child, who received the gift of life from a 49-year-old donor from the Sotiria hospital. All the links in the chain proved durable. The multiple episodes of hemoptysis were treated by the emergency medicine system of Thessaly Hospital and Attikon Hospital, the woman was under long-term follow-up and specialized interventional treatments at Attikon, the management of the donor was exemplary at Sotiria Hospital and finally the heart and lung transplant teams in collaboration with the anesthesiology team of the Onassios cardiac surgery center, they contributed to something that 5 years ago would have been considered unattainable for the Greek health reality. we are proud of all our teams, keep going strong. Good recovery to the recipient, warm thanks and gratitude to the donor’s family.”
