The US Secretary of Health Robert Kennedy Junior announced on Tuesday that the vaccine for him coronovation It will no longer be among the recommended vaccines for pregnant women and healthy children in the vaccination program of the US Centers (CDC), according to CNN.

Kennedy announced this change in a video posted on the X platform. The Commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Dr. Marty Makary and the Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.

“From today, the Covid vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the recommended CDC vaccination program,” Kennedy said. “Last year, the Biden government urged healthy children to make another Covid vaccine, despite the lack of clinical data to support the repetitive commemorative dose for children,” he said.

CNN notes that pregnant women and children with underlying diseases are at greater risk of severe disease than COVID-19.

The change of recommendation comes among other changes to Covid-19 vaccines. The FDA said last week that it is reviewing the way it approves COVID-19 vaccines, a move that can limit future vaccines to elderly Americans and people with a higher risk of serious disease than COVID-19.
