Ten new domestic cases of infection from the virus of West Nile diagnosed/ reported in the last week. An imported case of an infection in a patient who was exposed to another foreign country (Serbia), which is not included in further analysis, has also been recorded. No death has been recorded with a virus infection.

From the beginning of the period 2025, until July 30, a total of 17 domestic outbreaks of western Nile virus in Greece have been diagnosed and investigated, of which 14 cases presented events from the Central nervous system (CNS, encephalitis and/or meningitis and/or acute loose paralysis) and three cases had mild manifestations/no CNS events, according to the EODY epidemiological report.

Infection of the West Nile infection in Greece have been recorded in 15 municipalities in the country, in eight regional units, and in particular in the Regional Units: West Attica, Western Sector of Athens, Piraeus, Islands, East Attica, Ilia, Evros.
