A family of eight sold 200,200,000 suburban homes and embarked on a “bottomless” road trip, spending £500,000 to convert a £100,000 double-decker bus into a luxurious mobile home.

Its new luxurious cushions feature 6 sleeping bricks, a master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a rooftop cinema. This is a travel style.

Dane Iel (35) and his wife Dina Iel (32) will have children Colette (9), Roman (8), Abraham (7) and Evelyn (4) 15 days later, I went home with my twins Hyde and Wade (3 people). .. On the road in July 2020, when they made the “crazy” decision to leave their normal life and go back to running as nomads.

Father Dane decided to quit his high-paying job in August 2020 as the CEO of an insurance technology startup. Later, with his wife Dina and his mother at home, the couple adopted the 2009 Van Hool TD925. bus.

They then spent 20 months turning it into a “dream house”.

In May 20201, the family decided to sell their home in Dallas, Texas. There, it was necessary to “sell the current garden” of all assets before moving.

The family is currently preparing for a public trip to the United States, departing from Japan on June 1.

“In the next two years, we will live longer and see more than ever before,” Dane said.

“We are so excited that we wake up to different landscapes every day.

“I want to spend at least two weeks in every state in the United States. This is amazing.

“Our children will have different perspectives and experiences in America. I have heard of the size of the United States, but I have rarely seen it.

We want to experience the different foods, cultures, diversity and everything about America.

The most important thing is that we want to do everything with our children as a family.

Dane also works remotely as a business consultant when he travels to pay bills. We estimate his bill to be at least £4,000 a month.

Living on the road will be a great fit for kids accustomed to 18,000 square feet, but the Dane and Dina four-seaters do their best to accommodate their needs.

“It was a big decision because we lived in this house for five years and all the kids grew up here,” Dane said.

Visiting Capulin Volcano, New Mexico in July 2020, the family decided to uproot their lives in favor of adventure.

Wasting absolute time and excited by epic travel plans, they started looking for trailers and buses to buy and modify on their way home from their trip.

Remembering the Eureka moment, Dane said:

“I was looking at the car and everyone was very happy. In fact, it was the happiest thing we’ve ever had. I didn’t want to end it.”

“We have been chasing money for years, but suddenly we realize that spending time with our family makes us happy.

We talked and said, “Why don’t you do this more?”

“We didn’t have to sit at the desk. It’s time to focus on family.”

These are conversations that many have, but often never end. But Dane and Diana decided to do it.

After finding the buses online, they were picked up in Los Angeles, California in September 2021. They then disposed of the work directly and began to restore its technical characteristics.

It took around 20 months and cost over £500,000.

Dane said: ‘When I saw the bus on the website I knew it was exactly what we wanted.

“Except for the six beds, it had to be completely peeled off. It was just a shell.”

ათას He spent more than 500,000. I went so far over budget that I stopped counting!

“But now we see it and we are very happy with its appearance.”

The luxury bus has 6 berths, which can comfortably sleep 10 people.

It has 2 bathrooms and a shower, a full kitchen with an oven and induction cooktop, a washer/dryer, a refrigerator and freezer, and ample storage space.

The cabin of the car will also become an office.

But the real fun is on the rooftop, where you put on your own movies on the rooftop decks and projection screens.

The children on the roof are listening to the trip.

Dane said: “I wake up every day and I think everything is a little crazy and a little crazy.

“It’s not normal, but I feel like it’s okay.

“We knew that every space on the bus needed to be multifunctional, and we designed it to have a computer monitor in front of it that could be an office.

I like to eat with my family, so I designed the kitchen to be one big table.

We wanted to pollute the previous living space so that the children could have fun and have enough space for school work.

“We love its design and appearance.”

While the whole family on a trip today is overly excited about the prospect of seeing the entire country, Dane said it’s harder to leave it all behind than expected.

“We said goodbye to everyone here. It was very emotional, but we’re ready to get out of the way,” he said.

Dina homeschools her children before Dane works in remote areas.

“My wife is in charge of all the schools and she will definitely work a lot harder than I do,” Dane said. “I’m doing business consulting, so I’ll do it myself.”

“Dyna is really great for kids,” he continued.

“During the pandemic, the school was remote and I think we were able to better understand everything.

The family covers about მი 1,000 and spends about 0,004,000 a month alone for the next two years.

They first travel 1,100 miles to Minnesota and then slowly head south to chase the sun during the cold winter months.

Dane said: “We are trying to keep up with the 20 degree weather so we will continue to travel to warm sunny places.

“I want to be a place with good weather, so I have a road map that I can roughly follow based on the weather.

We are now heading north towards Minnesota. Cross the border into Canada, Alberta, spending most of the summer there before heading south.

“We’re big on national parks and there are 63 in the United States, so we’ll try to see as many national parks as possible.

“I can’t stand taking my kids to Yellowstone and Yosemite, and they’re on the east coast of Dry Tortugas National Park.

While we travel for fun, we visit amusement parks and children enjoy Legoland, Six Flags and Disney Park.

“It’s just one big adventure and I hope it never ends!”
