Walking a very excited puppy can quickly become very confusing.

Many said that getting leads was one of their biggest struggles, with more than a quarter saying they would abandon their dogs because of “problematic” behaviour.

Lorna Winter, director of the British Charter for Dog Behavior and Training, has some basic advice to help your dog stop shooting bullets.

Exercising in the garden or at home

Lorna describes this as “absolutely necessary”.

He tells us, “It’s too late, so don’t leave until you’re allowed to go for a walk.”

First, it says that you have to start from the inside.

“Practice at home. Move up and down without bullets,” she explains.

use remedies

We are all heading towards positive improvements and blessings are the perfect way to keep your pup focused.

“Please have your food handy,” says Lorna. Catch them at thigh height and walk to your pup’s pace. After mastering it, take it to the garden.

Raise the level between treatments. If the dog moves forward, stop, move and start again.

“When your dog walks nicely by your side consistently, you can start to introduce leashes.

“By the time your pup gets a second shot, he should be able to walk you professionally just fine.”

never take a leader

Hopefully this will last indefinitely, but don’t confuse the benefits. You don’t like it, why not make your little one’s best friend?

“Don’t argue or kiss bullets,” says Lorna.

“Stop, drop some dishes under your heels until the pup returns to the desired spot, then start moving again.
