(News Bulletin 247) – Ford announces a series of appointments as part of its growth and value creation plan to support ‘the development of large-scale revolutionary electric vehicles, strengthen its line of internal combustion products and transforming enterprise global supply chain management’.
In this context, the manufacturer announces the appointment of Doug Field as director of advanced product development and technology.
Lisa Drake, current vice president in charge of electric vehicle industrialization, will now also be responsible for manufacturing engineering, as Ford targets an operating rate of 2 million electric vehicles per year by the end of 2026.
Chuck Gray, until then vice president in charge of electric vehicle technologies, has been named vice president in charge of vehicle hardware engineering.
Jim Baumbick has been named vice president in charge of product development operations, cycle planning and internal combustion engine programs. He will oversee all product development for Ford Blue
John Lawler, Ford’s chief financial officer, plans to oversee an overhaul of Ford’s global supply chain operations until a global supply chain director is appointed.
Roz Ho and Jae Park join Ford, from HP and Google respectively. Alongside With Samy Omari (formerly of Motional) and Rob Bedichek (formerly Intel and Apple), they will support Ford’s efforts to develop fully connected vehicles.
