(News Bulletin 247) – Accenture announces that it has acquired Morphus, a private provider of cyber defense, risk management and cyber threat intelligence services based in Brazil. Financial terms were not disclosed.
According to Accenture’s recent Cyber Threat Study, Brazil is one of the main victims of ‘infostealer’ malware, i.e. malware designed to steal victims’ information, such as words outmoded.
“This acquisition brings more than 230 highly skilled professionals, making Accenture one of the largest cybersecurity professional services providers in Brazil,” said Paolo Dal Cin, who heads Accenture Security globally.
Rawlison Brito, Managing Director of Morphus, adds: “With Accenture, we can continue our cyber threat research and expand our advanced cybersecurity studies by collaborating with security research experts globally.”
Since 2015, Accenture Security has made 16 acquisitions including Brazilian company Real Protect, as well as European cyber companies Sentor and Openminded in 2021.
