(News Bulletin 247) – Last night OLGroupe unveiled the accounts for the first half of its staggered 2022/23 financial year, which show revenue up 16% to 134.8 million euros.

The football club points out that all revenue lines are on the rise, despite their failure to qualify for the European Cup.

The gross operating surplus (EBITDA) is nevertheless negative at -23.7 million euros, impacted in particular by the increase in activity and operating expenses and the increase in personnel costs.

Throughout the half-year, OL Groupe continued to make progress on all of its projects, in particular the construction of the LDLC Arena, which is expected to come into operation at the end of 2023.

At the same time, on December 19, Eagle Football finalized the acquisition of 77.49% of the capital of OL Groupe and subscribed to a reserved capital increase in the amount of 86 million.

Finally, pre-tax income for the first half of the 2022/23 financial year amounted to -61.3 million euros (-28 million at December 31, 2021). The net income, group share therefore came to -60.2 million euros against -27.1 million a year earlier.
