(News Bulletin 247) – Tarkett publishes a turnover of 3359 ME for the year 2022, an increase of 20.3% compared to the previous financial year, (including +8.9% organic variation).
At the same time, adjusted EBITDA increased by 2.6%, to stand at 235 ME, but adjusted operating income fell by 7%, to 85.8 ME.
The net income group share thus shows a loss of 26.8 ME, far from the gain of 15.1 ME recorded twelve months earlier, ie a diluted EPS of -0.41 euro, against +0.23 euro previously.
Regarding its outlook, Tarkett believes that the macroeconomic context will continue to weigh on the level of demand in 2023, in particular due to the level of inflation and interest rate increases.
Looking at the trends at the end of 2022, Tarkett estimates that the volume of activity in flooring products will experience a slowdown during the first half of 2023.
The activities of the Sports division are still benefiting from a solid market and should continue to grow thanks to a solid order book, however at a slower pace than what was observed in 2022 (+33% organic growth).
