(News Bulletin 247) – Umicore reported on Thursday a solid performance in 2022, with in particular revenues which amounted to 4.2 billion euros, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year.

Adjusted EBITDA was €1,151 million, down 8% from the record level reached in 2021, reflecting increased spending on innovation and growth readiness, inflation less favorable precious metals costs and price levels.

Adjusted net income (group share) was 593 million euros and adjusted EPS was 2.47 euros, for operating free cash flow of 344 million euros.

Net financial debt increased slightly to €1.1 billion, resulting in a gearing ratio of 0.96x Adjusted EBITDA in LTM.

“We delivered a solid commercial performance against a backdrop of significant macroeconomic headwinds and have already demonstrated tangible progress against strategic and financial objectives,” commented its Managing Director Mathias Miedreich.

The gross annual dividend proposed for 2022 is €0.80, of which €0.55 is to be paid in May 2023, with an interim dividend of €0.25 already paid in August 2022.

Listed on Euronext Brussels, the Umicore share rose by 0.4% after the publication of these figures.
