(News Bulletin 247) – Two years after announcing its partnership with Google Cloud, Thales on Wednesday presented its eSIM management platform hosted on the American group’s servers.
This offer, which is accompanied by associated digital solutions, is supposed to allow mobile operators to meet the demand for eSIM activation while deploying new services.
By 2025, the number of eSIM connections should indeed reach nearly nine billion, specifies Thales in a press release.
‘Consumers are increasingly adopting eSIM-enabled phones, wearables and tablets, while network operators are stepping up their efforts to tackle the 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) revolutions’ , recalls the company.
Despite everything, Thales explains that it retains total control of its offer by guaranteeing the design of highly secure hardware and software, as well as the storage and management of secret codes allowing access to mobile networks.
‘This ensures data confidentiality, a secure approach to the cloud and rigorous protection against cyberattacks’, explains the French company.
