(News Bulletin 247) – Accenture Federal Services (AFS, a subsidiary of Accenture) announces that the Federal Agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) has awarded it a contract worth 628 million over five years to continue its work supporting Healthcare.gov, the U.S. federal government-operated health insurance site that connects individuals and small businesses to public health insurance options and private available.

As a reminder, in 2014, AFS won a contract to take over the management of the Federally-Facilitated Exchange (FFE), the backbone of Healthcare.gov.

‘It is an honor to support the United States Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ mission to strengthen health care services and information available to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and health care providers’, said Elaine Beeman, senior managing director of Accenture Federal Services’ Civil Portfolio.
