(News Bulletin 247) – BioMérieux’s sales reached 3,589 million euros in 2022 compared to 3,376 million euros in 2021, representing organic growth of 0.2%. The growth published in euros amounted to 6.3%.
In 2022, contributive current operating income stood at €664 million, or 18.5% of sales, down 21% compared to the level of 2021. Gross margin in 2022 reached 2,009 million euros, or 56% of revenue, down from 59.3% at the end of December 2021.
The Group’s operating income reached 587 million euros at the end of the financial year, down 25% compared to the 784 million euros recorded in 2021. The net income Group share in 2022 was 452 million euros (compared to 601 million euros in 2021).
In 2023, sales growth, excluding respiratory panels, is expected between +8% and +10%, at comparable currencies and scope. Growth in total sales is expected between +4% and +6% in 2023. Contributed current operating income should be between 600 and 630 million euros, at current exchange rates.
