(News Bulletin 247) – General Electric (GE) announced today that the board of directors has appointed two new members: Darren McDew, retired US Army general and former commander of the US Transportation Command, and Jessica Uhl, former chief financial officer of Shell.
GE Chairman and CEO and GE Aerospace Chief Executive Officer H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. said, ‘The Board of Directors and I look forward to bringing their valuable insights and experiences as we we are preparing to launch GE Aerospace and GE Vernova as independent companies and industry leaders.’
Thomas Horton, Senior Director of GE, added: ‘The expertise of our new directors is strongly aligned with the aerospace, defense and energy industries. Their experiences are well suited to GE’s current and future needs.’
Darren McDew, 62, a retired U.S. Air Force four-star general served with distinction in the U.S. military for 36 years. He commanded at all levels and was notably the former military assistant to the president.
Jessica Uhl, 55, a former chief financial officer of Shell, brings more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector. She notably sits on the board of directors of Goldman Sachs.
