(News Bulletin 247) – Parrot rose sharply on the Paris Stock Exchange on Thursday following the publication of its annual results, largely supported by the growth of its microdrone activities.
The professional civilian drone specialist says it achieved consolidated revenue of 71.9 million euros in 2022, up 32% (+24% at constant exchange rates).
On the basis of its new scope, which excludes the company SenseFly sold at the end of 2021, the turnover amounts to 70.7 million euros, an annual increase of 75% (+64% at constant exchange rate). ).
With revenue of 39.2 million euros, the microdrone business alone posted annual growth of 88% (+82% at constant exchange rates) thanks to the success of its ‘Anafi USA’, a product intended for the security and defense markets and which has been acquired by institutions in NATO countries (United States, United Kingdom, France, Northern Europe, Japan in particular).
As a result, the group’s gross margin increased to 56 million euros last year, compared to 39.1 million in 2021, an improvement of 43%.
Due to an increase in its research and development costs and its administrative and general costs, the current operating result nevertheless shows a loss of 19 million euros, which nevertheless marks a reduction compared to the loss of 34.9 million euros wiped out in 2021.
Parrot, which posted 68.5 million euros in net cash at the end of 2022, says it expects further growth in 2023, without providing many more details.
