(News Bulletin 247) – Lockheed Martin announces that the US Army has awarded it a multi-year production contract for joint air-to-surface missiles (JAGM) and HELLFIRE missiles worth a total of 439 million dollars for the first program year.

This contract will provide JAGM and HELLFIRE with supply and production support for the US Army and international customers.

Because this is a multi-year award, the contract offers three additional follow-on awards beginning in late 2023, enabling a total contract value of up to $4.5 billion over the next four years.

“Not only does this contract award support sustained production, it is the first joint production contact award from the United States. government for JAGM and HELLFIRE,” says Joey Drake, director of air-to-surface missile systems program management at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.

“The advanced defensive capabilities of JAGM and HELLFIRE provide users with an essential solution that allows them to stay one step ahead with a competitive advantage against potential adversaries. This contract allows us to continue providing these solutions to our customers for years to come,” he added.
