(News Bulletin 247) – Volkswagen announces that the world premiere of the new all-electric ID.7 will take place on April 17. Its launch on the European market is planned before the end of the year.
This model is intended in particular to strengthen the upper middle class in Europe, China and North America.
The launch of the new ID.7 is an important milestone for the manufacturer, which plans to increase the share of its electric models to 80% in Europe by 2030.
‘With the ID.7, we have further exploited the potential of MEB (the manufacturer’s modular electric drive platform). We also used a new, more powerful and efficient electric drive motor. In addition, we have improved the quality of running gear control and have thus been able to further increase driving comfort,” says Kai Grünitz, member of the management board responsible for development.
The manufacturer announces WLTP ranges of up to 700 kilometers and charging capacities of up to 200 kW, depending on the size of the battery.
