(News Bulletin 247) – Waga Energy achieved a solid performance in 2022 in a volatile geopolitical and economic environment.

The company achieved a strong increase in consolidated turnover in 2022 to 19.2 ME (+56%), 216 GWh of biomethane injected (+49%), 35,700 tonnes of eqCO2 avoided. It signed 7 new contracts bringing to 29 the number of WAGABOX® projects committed at the end of 2022, representing a total installed capacity of more than 1 TWh/year.

Cash stood at 91.7 ME for a financial debt of 52.6 ME.

Waga Energy is driven by the strong acceleration in demand for biomethane worldwide, and by the major challenge of reducing methane emissions.

The outlook for 2023 is very positive. The group records 123 projects in development, mainly internationally, more than 1.5 TWh of installed capacity in exclusive negotiations in North America and 8 start-ups planned for 2023 for an installed capacity of 800 GWh/year at the end of the year .
