(News Bulletin 247) – American Airlines announces the signing of a new agreement for the use and lease of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for a period of 10 years.

The agreement also includes $4.8 billion in pre-approved capital investments, including the construction of Terminal F, the renovation of Terminal C, the construction of the gate, the expansions of Terminal A and Terminal C, and other major modernization projects.

According to the local authorities, this agreement opens ‘a new era of growth and innovation for the second busiest airport in the world’.

“American is proud to call North Texas home, and DFW is our largest hub and a central gateway to our extensive international and domestic network,” said American Airlines Chief Executive Robert Isom.

The manager said he was ‘pleased to finalize a new lease and capital plan that sets the stage for American Airlines, DFW and the North Texas region to continue to grow for years to come’.
