(News Bulletin 247) – BASF and thyssenkrupp Uhde today announced their cooperation for the commercialization and further development of the design of catalysts to power thyssenkrupp Uhde’s state-of-the-art EnviNOx® technology for the reduction of N2O and NOx .
EnviNOx® reliably removes more than 99% of all N2O and NOx emissions, such as at the BASF site in Ludwigshafen, where a new unit was successfully started in the second half of 2022.
BASF will supply its high-performance catalysts to thyssenkrupp Uhde, enabling its customers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions even more effectively.
“The combination of both companies’ expertise in N2O reduction catalysts and processes is really going to make a difference in our shared goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions,” said Detlef Ruff, vice-president Senior President, Process Catalysts at BASF. ‘Our research and development teams are working on the design and production of highly efficient, durable and long-lasting catalysts.’
