(News Bulletin 247) – The Group’s organic sales decreased by -9% in the 2nd quarter year-on-year. Sales in the Networks segment decreased by -13%, while sales in the Enterprise segment increased by 20%. Turnover amounted to 64.4 billion crowns in the 2nd quarter of 2023 (compared to 62.5 billion crowns).
The sharp decline in sales in North America was partly offset by the strong development of sales in India.
The gross margin excluding restructuring charges was 38.3% (vs. 42.2%), mainly impacted by the change in the activity mix in the Networks. Reported gross margin was 37.4% (vs. 42.1%).
EBITA excluding restructuring charges amounted to 3.7 billion crowns (compared to 7.5 billion crowns) with an EBITA margin of 5.7% (compared to 12.0%). Reported EBITA was 0.5 billion crowns (vs. 7.5 billion crowns) with restructuring charges amounting to -3.1 billion crowns.
The net loss amounted to -0.6 billion crowns (vs. 4.7 billion crowns) mainly due to restructuring charges. Diluted EPS was -0.21 Swedish kronor (vs. 1.35 Swedish kronor).
