(News Bulletin 247) – JCDecaux, the world leader in outdoor advertising, announced last night that it has retained the market for bus shelters and street furniture in Toulouse, for a period of 15 years.
The group indicates that it has won, following two different calls for tenders, the contracts for bus shelters in Toulouse Métropole (796,200 inhabitants) and street furniture for the fourth largest city in France (471,500 inhabitants).
This contract renewal concerns 1,638 bus shelters, which this time will benefit from energy efficiency technologies, such as LED lighting or presence detectors, with the objective of reducing energy consumption by 64% compared to current levels.
Toulouse also renewed its contract relating to street furniture, which covers 559 information devices of 2m2, 55 spaces of 8m2, 66 digital screens of 2m2, 40 event furniture, 52 free display supports and 30 cultural columns.
Here again, energy efficiency solutions will be implemented in order to reduce electricity consumption by 39%.
