PARIS (Reuters) – Eiffage reported on Wednesday a 5.5% increase in its turnover in the third quarter of 2023 year-on-year, the good performance of its works and concessions segments having offset difficulties in real estate , and confirmed its financial objectives for 2023.
The French group recorded a turnover of 5.462 billion euros in the third quarter of 2023 compared to 5.175 billion euros over the same period a year earlier.
Eiffage’s activity increased by 4.9% in works and 8.3% in concessions during the quarter, but the difficulties in real estate continued with a fall of 44.7%.
“The trends observed in the first half of 2023 in France are confirmed: fall in new housing partially offset by residential renovation and new construction of public and industrial facilities,” indicates Eiffage in a press release.
The marketing of housing stands at 1,011 reservations recorded at the end of September 2023 compared to 1,936 at the end of September 2022, indicates the group.
For the year as a whole, Eiffage confirms that it expects a further increase in its current operating profit in the works and concessions divisions and forecasts growth in its group share of net profit.
