For a long time, Xi Jinping underlines the need for China to be independent for its supply of semiconductors and wants the country to take advantage of artificial intelligence (IA) to boost its economic development.
Beijing’s efforts are however penalized by the restrictions on semiconductor exports set up by Washington, which says it fears that cutting -edge fleas make it possible to strengthen Chinese military capacities.
