Paris (Reuters) – The main European scholarships are down at the start of the session on Friday, investors digesting Trump customs duties and business results.
In Paris, the CAC 40 folded up from 0.75% to 8041.48 points around 8:07 am GMT. The Dax in Frankfurt lost 0.53%, the FTSE in London 0.30%.
The pan -European FTSEUROFIRST 300 index loses 0.4%, the Eurostoxx 50 fell 0.94%and the Stoxx 600 declines by 0.7%.
Donald Trump relaunched trade war on Thursday, declaring that 25% customs duties on imports from Canada and Mexico would come into force on March 4, that China would be subject to additional 10% customs duties and European imports should also bear 25% customs duties.
Investors, taking advantage since the start of the year of overperformance in Europe compared to the United States, have accused the blow.
The session is also marked by many business results, like the Swiss Holcim which earns 1.6% after having exceeded expectations while the French Forvia and Nexity lose 18.04% and 11.8% respectively after having disappointed T4.
The European markets are also preparing for the Revue des Notes de la France, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands Friday, the note of France, reviewed by S&P, being expected stable.
