(Reuters) – The British airline Easyjet warned an impact on its annual profit on Thursday due to the increase in fuel costs and a strike by French air controllers at the start of the high season in Europe, even if it still provides “good growth in the profit”.

The company has planned an impact of around 25 million pounds Sterling (around 30 million euros) on the profit for the financial year ending in September.

In the third quarter, Easyjet posted a profit before taxes up around 50 million pounds to reach 286 million pounds, in accordance with expectations.

While demand remains strong for low -cost flights and Easyjet vacation packages, travelers are taking more time to reserve their tickets, in a context of degradation of the global macroeconomic climate, the airline said.

“With 67% of our company’s capacity for the fourth quarter already sold, the final result for the 2025 financial year will depend, as always, end -of -summer reservations and associated revenues,” the group said in a press release.
