(BFM Stock Exchange) – At the end of its quarterly clues review, the Euronext scientific council decided to integrate Euronext into the CAC 40 while Teleperformance comes out. On the SBF 120, Abivax and EXAIL Technologies integrate the second index in the Parisian square while Esso and OVH will get out.
The composition of the CAC 40 will change in the coming days. The Euronext scientific council, a body that decides to integrate or get out of the values of the Paris Stock Exchange, decided to integrate … Euronext in the elite of the Paris Stock Exchange after its last quarterly review, held this Thursday, September 11.
This change is made at the expense of Teleperformance, which is penalized by a disappointing stock market. The title of the specialist in outsourced customer relations has lost 24% since the start of the year, and had already chained two difficult years in 2023 and 2024, falling 40% respectively and 37% respectively.
The group was weighed down by several disappointing publications as well as by fears of an upheaval of its economic model, which would be threatened with obsolescence by the rise of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
A series of disappointments that melted the company’s market capitalization at 3.8 billion euros, the lowest in CAC 40.
Recall that to make its decision on the entry or release of the CAC 40, the Euronext scientific council is largely based on the exchange volumes and the floating capitalization of a company. Sectoral logics can, however, also get into account.
Euronext has made a diametrically opposed movement, and on the contrary claims a beautiful stock market course: the value has taken 27% since January 1 and 271% over 10 years. This placed him as a natural candidate to join the elite of the Paris Stock Exchange with a market capitalization of 13.9 billion euros.
At the end of July, the stock market operator announced record results for his second quarter, including a net profit up 30% over a year.
Two changes on the SBF 120
Two changes will take place on the SBF 120, the second large barometer in the Parisian square. Abivax and EXAIL Technologies will integrate the index when the specialist in dematerialized IT services OVHCLOUD and the ESSO oil company will be ousted.
After Medincell in December 2024, it is Abivax, another company in the field of science and life that will join the second most important indemnity of the Paris Stock Exchange.
Abivax was particularly illustrated last July, on the occasion of a historic session for the Biotechnology Society. Its title had soared 510.11% on July 23, in response to the announcement of positive clinical results for its potential treatment for hemorrhagic rectocolitis, chronic inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. And since the start of the year, the title has achieved a spectacular increase of +959.17%.
The specialist in autonomous robotics and navigation systems Exeil Technologies will also enter the SBF 120, claiming an increase of 568.20% since January 1. This excellent stock market course on 2025 is largely explained by the many commercial successes gleaned by the company in recent months. The current geopolitical context indeed gives solid arguments to armies around the world to equip itself with increasingly sophisticated systems.
The company EXAIL Technologies meets specific needs in terms of marine defense. This led the ETI to chain the signatures of contracts with marines or global armed forces for drone systems and/or navigation equipment.
On the other hand for OVHCloud, these are the doors of Saloon. The specialist in dematerialized computer services OVHCLOUD again left the index only three months after having integrated it in June 2025. OVHCLOUD then reinstated the SBF 120 after leaving it in June 2023.
These changes will be effective from September 22.
