(Reuters) -Worldline announced on Monday that it had appointed a new financial director, Srikanth Seshandri, a new stage of the reshuffle of the management of the online payment group, a year after the dismissal of its managing director Gilles Gapinet.
The appointment of Srikanth Seshandri, which also takes a member of the executive committee, has been effective since September 8, according to a press release from Worldline.
Previously director of the Treasury and Financing at Alstom, he succeeds Grégory Lambertie, “who chose to continue new professional opportunities”, according to the press release.
“His extensive international experience as well as his expertise in the management of complex financial environments constitute important assets to support the continuous transformation of Worldline,” said General Manager Pierre-Antoine Vacheron in the press release.
Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, who joined Worldline and managed in February, has the priority of “(transforming) performance” following the departure in September 2024 of Gilles Grapinet, after 11 years at the head of the French group.
The new director general has already faced, in June, the publication of an international journalistic investigation into Worldline’s activities with high -risk actors (HBR), entitled “Dirty Payments”, followed by the opening of a survey on its Belgian subsidiary.
Worldline announced in July that it has mandated the financial consulting firm accuracy to audit its portfolio of high -risk customers.
Last August, taking note of the decision of S&P Global Ratings to degrade the group’s credit rating, Worldline had declared “(confirm) his willingness to focus on his financial discipline”.
On the Paris Stock Exchange, around 8:10 a.m. GMT, the action climbs almost 6% to 2.85 euros.
