PARIS (Reuters) – The BollorĂ© group reported on a turnover of 1.547 billion euros on Wednesday on Wednesday in the first half, down 3% at constant perimeter and changes, after a year 2024 marked by strong restructuring and while legal difficulties have multiplied for the group.

The adjusted operating profit released at 123 million euros over the period.

The group described its results as “expectations of expectations” in a statement published on Wednesday.

This first semester 2025 comes after a year 2024 marked by considerable effects of perimeters, due to the sale in February 2024 of the logistical activities grouped in Bolloré Logistics to the French shipowner CMA CGM, and by the split of Vivendi at the end of 2024, now debated before the courts.

The latter caused a series of legal difficulties for the BollorĂ© group. In July, the Financial Markets Authority ordered the Group to launch a public withdrawal offer on Vivendi within six months – a decision that BollorĂ© appealed.

Bolloré had acted the split of his subsidiary Vivendi in December 2024, introducing the audiovisual group Canal+on the stock market, the Havas advertising agency and the Louis Hachette publishing group. Bolloré now holds its participations in the four entities directly.

The decision of the AMF of July resulting from a rare decision of the Paris Court of Appeal rendered in April. The court had judged that Bolloré controlled Vivendi and that the AMF should re -examine the conditions of its split. Bolloré and Vivendi also challenged this decision. A hearing is to take place at the Court of Cassation on November 25.

As the AMF indicated in July, the implementation of a possible public withdrawal offer on Vivendi would only intervene after the Court of Cassation has made its judgment.

During the group’s general assembly in May, CEO Cyrille BollorĂ© said he was waiting for results “more representative of performance” in 2025 for Canal, Louis Hachette, Havas and Vivendi, while the split of Vivendi had proven to be disappointing.

Bolloré is present in petroleum logistics with its Bolloré Energy branch, communication and the media with participations in Universal Music Group (UMG), Canal+, Havas, Louis Hachette and the Vivendi holding company, as well as in the plastic industry and electric batteries.
