PARIS/MILAN (Reuters) – New Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has once again reshuffled the team around him, appointing new directors of European operations and global manufacturing, just days after announcing a new CFO.

The car manufacturer born from the merger between PSA and FCA announced on Wednesday that Emanuele Cappellano, until now at the head of the group’s South American activities, will succeed Jean-Philippe Imparato at the head of enlarged Europe and European brands. Jean-Philippe Imparato will now focus on Maserati, Stellantis’ struggling luxury brand.

Emanuele Cappellano will retain leadership of Stellantis’ commercial vehicle business, Pro One, while Herlander Zola will succeed him as head of South American activities, the group added in a press release.

In another press release, the Franco-Italian-American manufacturer announced the arrival on November 1 of Francesco Ciancia as global director of manufacturing and member of the leadership team, replacing Arnaud Deboeuf, until now in charge of the industrial tool and who will leave Stellantis.

Franceco Ciancia returns to Stellantis, after leading the commercial vehicle activities of German Mercedes-Benz, and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing and factory management, Stellantis added.

Antonio Filosa is thus accelerating his efforts to turn around the group’s operations, after a year 2024 marked by a spectacular deterioration in its commercial and financial performance and the fall of his predecessor Carlos Tavares, and before the update of the “Dare forward” strategic plan, scheduled for the first half of 2026. At the end of September, he appointed Joao Laranjo as new financial director.

“With these new appointments, we are promoting exceptional internal and external talents to management positions, with a view to ensuring the future success of our company,” explained the CEO quoted in one of the press releases.

As part of this reshuffle, Ralph Gilles also becomes global design director and Grégoire Olivier head of the China and Asia-Pacific region.
