4th RAE: 91.5% of Covid ICU patients unvaccinated – Increase in imports in October (pics)

The 4th Health District of Macedonia and Thrace is ringing the alarm bell for the strengthening of the vaccinations.

According to the data released today for the month of October, 92.9% of the patients treated in the ICU Covid of its hospitals are unvaccinated.

At the same time, 295 civilians lost the battle with Covid-19.

In terms of hospitalizations, 1,340 coronavirus-positive patients were admitted in October, recording an increase of 35% compared to September.

Respectively, admissions to Covid ICU increased by 27% compared to September and 74% compared to August.

The 4th RAE notes that the average of completed vaccination coverage in all prefectures of the Region is less than 55%, emphasizing that the vaccinated are 25 times less likely to be hospitalized.

Today, however, on November 23, the number of patients treated in simple Covid in the health region of Macedonia and Thrace amounts to 581, of which 435 are unvaccinated (74.9%) and 146 are vaccinated. At the same time, 51 patients are being treated in single beds with a high oxygen flow mask, of which 39 are unvaccinated (75%). Respectively, the number of Covid ICU patients reaches 82, of which 75 are unvaccinated (91.5%) and only 7 are vaccinated.
