At the same time, it prohibits the burning of sparklers after 23:00 unless they are quiet or low noise
After Alimos, measures against noise pollution in the evening hours from the entertainment shops are taken by municipality of Vari – Voula – Vouliagmeni.
In particular, the Municipal Council, after the suggestion of the mayor Grigoris Konstandellos, proceeded to the voting of a new regulation of operation of the city for the protection from disturbing activities and noise pollution.
With the new regulation, it was decided to ban the extension of music opening hours in businesses within the city plan and the residential fabric, after the foreseen hours, which expire at 23:00 in summer and at 22:00 in winter.
In case of violation of the schedule, the Municipal Police will immediately impose a fine 5,000 euros.
The implementation of the new regulation will start on July 1.
In addition, the new regulation reduces the nuisance of residents from abuse of sparklersas it prohibits burning after 23:00, while allowing only the use of quiet or low noise sparklers during the remaining hours.
Violators will be fined 3,000 euros.
The regulation significantly reduces the hours during which the use of noisy cleaning machines and gardening work, such as lawn mowers, blowers and chainsaws, is allowed.
Specifically, machines that produce noise above 65 decibels are prohibited from being used on Sundays and public holidays, while from Monday to Saturday their use will only be allowed from 11:00 until 14:00.
The violation will be punished with a fine of 3,000 euros.
