According to a relevant bill, these study programs provide for the mandatory internship of students for a total duration of six months, which corresponds to 30 credits

The institutionalization of three-year Departments of Applied Sciences and Technology in Universities provides for Draft Law on Universities.

More specifically, the Departments of Applied Sciences and Technology will be able to organize undergraduate programsorientation of applied sciences and technology with the main goal of applying scientific knowledge to solve practical problems and developing systematic methodologies with professional orientation.

It is noted that the specific first cycle study programs may exceptionally have a duration of seven academic semesters and their educational activities correspond at least to 210 credit units. In addition, these study programs provide for conducting a mandatory internship of the students with a total duration of six months, corresponding to 30 credits, while the successful completion of the study programs leads to the award of a university degree.

At the same time, one will be implemented new development plan model aiming at the best organization but also the best development of the educational, research and other activities of each School and the departments.

The development plan will be updated annually and will be drafted by decision of the Dean of the School, upon the recommendation of the Assemblies of the Departments and will be submitted for approval to the Board of Directors of the A.E.I. at the latest by the end of each academic year, and will include the actions proposed, the goals of the School, the Departments, its research structures and the schedule within which it is estimated that they will be implemented.
