The perpetrators were arrested and remanded in custody in April 2021 on charges of extorting money from individuals and businesses, using violence against them or threatening their lives.

It was formed at their expense case for attempted murder, jointly and severally, an act for which they will be called to account to Justice. According to the Thessaloniki Security investigation, the three defendants, while inside a car, approached another car, in which a 34-year-old and a 29-year-old were riding, and shot at them, with a pistol, without injuring them.
The incident is allegedly linked to the blackmail action attributed to them. The same were arrested last Aprilwhen they were sentenced to pre-trial detention, on the charge that demanded extortionate money from individuals and businessmen (in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki), exercising violence against them or threatening their lives.
The case file accuses them of extorting almost 70,000 euros from five people who complained that they were victims, while they tried to extort another 50,000 euros. The defendants, of Albanian descent, had denied the allegations in their apologies to the investigator.
