EL.AS .: Hires another 600 guards for the universities

The Hellenic Police Headquarters is in the process of recruiting another 600 special guards for the formation of University Institutions Protection Teams (OPPI), which will complete the total number of 1,000, which is provided by the relevant law, which has been passed.

The 600 extra special guards will be recruited from the list of candidates, according to the announcement that had been issued for the recruitment of the first 400 special guards for what OPPI, on May 31st.

80% of them (480 positions) will be filled by category A ‘of the announcement, ie by runners-up who hold any diploma of all types of Lyceum (Ecclesiastical, Music, General, Unified, etc.), including diplomas Vocational High Schools (EPAL) or equivalent to this title of domestic or foreign, with the exception of those of the AD Vocational School of Technical Vocational School (S.E.E AD Cycle), the Technical Vocational Schools (T.E. S.), the Vocational Schools (EPAL) and the OAED Schools.

The remaining 20% ​​(120 positions) will be filled by runners-up, who hold a) a degree of Technical Vocational School (S.E.E.) 2nd cycle or b) a diploma of all types of Lyceum according to the above and in addition hold an EPAL degree or equivalent to this domestic or foreign title.

As it became known from the Headquarters of the Hellenic Police, the local police directorates are already calling the runners-up and giving them a health examination card, in order to undergo a medical examination and in July the preliminary examination process will take place.

The Ministry of Civil Protection emphasizes that “the above recruitments are a practical application of Government Planning and are part of the ongoing effort of the Ministry of Civil Protection and the Greek Police to upgrade and strengthen the security of persons and infrastructure of Higher Education Institutions, consequently of society as a whole “.
