A majority of 66% of the population is in favor of extending the mandatory vaccination to groups of workers who come into contact with a lot of people, according to a large poll by SKAI and Pulse presented in the main news bulletin with Sia Kosioni.
To the question “whether it would be good to have coronavirus vaccination mandatory in some categories of workers, such as those working in education, catering, transportation, etc.”, 52% of the sample answered “definitely yes” and 14% “probably yes”, compared to 49% and 16% which were the corresponding percentages in the previous survey conducted on July 5-7. On the contrary, 20% of the respondents are against the obligation, with 14% answering “definitely not” and 6% “probably not”, while a percentage of 14% stated that they “do not know / do not answer”.

Further analyzing the sample responses by sector of employment, retirees are unequivocally in favor of compulsory vaccination at a rate of 78%, followed by those involved with the household with 65%, entrepreneurs with 62%, the unemployed and the private sector with 59%, while slightly lower is the percentage (57%) of public sector employees.
At the level of electoral behavior, 83% of the voters of the Movement for Change say “yes” to compulsory vaccination, followed by ND with 77%, SYRIZA with 63%, followed by KKE% with 59%, MERA25 with 53% and of the Greek Solution with 49%.
At the same time, about 6 out of 10 participants in the survey are positive about the implementation of additional restrictive measures for the unvaccinated, with 44% of the sample answering “definitely yes” and 12% “probably yes”, while 30% of the respondents answering negatively ( 18% say “definitely not” and 12% “probably not”), while 14% do not take a position (do not know / do not answer).
By age group, those who “vote” in favor of new restrictive measures for those who have not been vaccinated against coronavirus are older citizens. Analytically, 72% of respondents over the age of 60 ask for additional measures at a rate of 72%, followed by the group 45-59 years with 57%, while the percentage at 30-44 years and 17-19 years is 48% and 40% respectively.
As for their party identity, once again the voters of KIN.AL. 77% are in favor of new restrictive measures, followed by ND voters with 73%. On the other hand, the voters of the other parties appear divided, with only 46% of those who support the Greek Solution being positively subject to the scenario of implementation of additional measures, while the percentages are low among the voters of SYRIZA, KKE and Mera25 with 45% , 44% and 43% respectively.
At the same time, the percentage of “negative” vaccines remains high, as 48% of those who have not been vaccinated say that nothing will change their mind. When asked which way might persuade them to get vaccinated, 25% said they might be convinced by more information from doctors / scientists, 3% said they might do so if suggested by websites and trusted media, and 3% said they could be persuaded by taking more restrictive measures for the unvaccinated. Similarly, 2% say they may be vaccinated if the epidemic worsens or is suggested by relatives and friends who trust or recommend it by people of religion, while 1% say they may get the vaccine if it becomes mandatory at work.
Finally, regarding the reasons that led former vaccine deniers to be vaccinated for the coronavirus, 38% of the sample stated that they were informed by doctors and scientists, 24% attributed it to the deterioration of health indicators, 19% to the concern about health of himself or his family, while 12% report that he was vaccinated due to the obligation at work and the restrictive measures taken for the unvaccinated (6% and 6% respectively).

Pulse’s research is nationwide and was done by phone using a structured electronic questionnaire. The sample concerned 4,012 adults with the right to vote and took place between November 20-25, 2021.
