Domani Blu is a bar and restaurant that also offers great Neapolitan-style pizza. Installed in a property on Rua Bento Freitas, it has a charming ambiance and the proposal to offer classic Italian cuisine, with some authorial touches.
The atmosphere is welcoming and was designed by interior designer Gustavo Jansen. A beautiful bar with tables occupies the entrance, where a DJ usually rocks the night with ambient music. There is a small living room and at the back, the double-height lounge with the kitchen.
The menu, signed by chef André Cunha, is divided into starters, pastas, mains, pizzas and desserts. The bar offers signature drinks such as Gin Pitaya (R$ 28.60) made with gin, tonic, passion fruit shrub and pitaya; and classics like Mojito (R$27.50) and Negroni (R$31.90).
Among the starters, we highlight the chicken boats (R$ 30.50) that bring the crunchy dough stuffed with chicken ragu, corn, red squid, coriander and spices. There is also a version with eggplant (R$ 26.50), for vegetarians. To accompany a drink, the extra portion of house-made crostini (R$17) is also perfect.
The pizzas have long fermentation dough: they are light and come with toppings such as five cheeses, tuna, alice, funghi and zucchini. The tip is the Marguerite Speciale (R$ 55) with tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, persimmon tomato, parmesan and basil pesto.
Among the main dishes, the Chicken Suprema (R$ 41) features grilled chicken breast, orange coulis, Moroccan couscous with vegetables and nuts in a perfect combination. For those who prefer red meat, two suggestions: the Filet Paillard with Fettuccine Alfredo (R$ 67.50) with grilled mignon served with fettuccine with cream and Parmesan and the Filet Mignon Parmigiana (R$ 73.60), which brings the breaded meat with panko, pomodoro sauce, mozzarella and parmesan, served with rice and rustic roasted potatoes.
For dessert, there is the Panna Cotta (R$ 25.30), a flan of fresh cream with Sicilian lemon zest served with red fruit jelly. The wine list is short but offers good-priced options, such as the Argentine Finca Flichman Malbec (R$89) and the Portuguese Origens (R$103).
Domani Blu pleases with an accurate cuisine that offers options for all occasions, whether it’s a happy hour or a dinner with friends. Perfect for this weekend.
